Real-world asset tokenization protocol Ondo Finance (ONDO) is holding up well on Friday, despite a broader drop in the crypto market as traders downsize bets for more rate cuts from the US Federal Reserve over the course of 2025. While most major cryptos are threatening a retest of Monday’s lows, ONDO continues to trade nearly 50% higher as it probes for a breakout above $1.40. A difficult macro backdrop suggests that rapid near-term gains are unlikely. Given the massive players that are backing the project, it’s likely to be a highly successful blockchain launch. Prior altcoin seasons have relied upon an easing of financial conditions, such as in 2021. That said, that doesn’t mean Ondo Finance can’t have a massive year. 2025 is set to be a record year for crypto adoption globally as favorable regulatory tailwinds from the just-arrived Trump administration start making themselves felt across the crypto industry.
