Description
Metis Token (METIS) is an Ethereum Layer-2 solution focused on solving the blockchain trilemma and Ethereum's scalability issues. METIS is used as the internal currency within the Metis ecosystem, particularly for staking and payments. The token was founded by Elena Sinelnikova, Kevin Liu, and Yuan Su in 2019, with the official business launch in 2021. The founders aimed to make blockchain technology more accessible, scalable, and affordable.
